Vinegrete

Day 21

The caretakers have a new nickname for Garrett: "Vinigrete," the Russian word for grapes, on account of the silly purple grape hat I put him in every couple of days. When we show up they say "Posh lee, posh lee, Vinigrete! Mama ee Papa!" (Let's go, let's go, Grapes! Mama and Daddy are here!) Here are some pictures of my sweet little bunch of grapes today.
Yes, we took off the hat... but isn't his hair growing in nicely! He's so smart.

I've said it before, but isn't he a cute little bug!

(Calvin is checking out this blog over my shoulder and has recommended that I add "exlamation points to show that we are 'cited to 'dopt my baby brother." So here we go... Hooray for adopting Garrett!!!)
That's all I've got for today... not many comments anyway, so why bother, right... ;)
Paka!

Looks like we have a nickname for Garrett! Poor little guy, we haven't even met him yet and already I'm calling him Vinnie.

He's darling and I love seeing his smiling face in pictures each day.

He's the cutest little "vinegrete" ever! Caro, time to start knitting the green grape version! ;-)

The weekend hit and I was lax on responding so please forgive. I was reading, though! I responded to yesterday's post and today's, well, today. Much love to you all!

Why bother??? We read everyday..actually, it's one of the first things I want to do in the mornings. Just can't always get to it before work. We love following your blog. It is so uplifting and positive. Thanks for being so detailed and consistent!
Your little grape is precious. Kisses from our own Lilliana!

Blessing,

Hang in there. You get the blues in the middle. I read everyday and thoroughly enjoy your posts. I was in Kokshetau in the cottage in June 2007 and I have read things I didn't know! I adopted my son Roman, then he was 2 1/2, now he is 4. Makhabbat rocks, tell her and Arshan hello from Cindy, Frank, Nicholas, Roman, and Dylan the dog!!!

I love to see the pictures and what you are up to each day, we always check your blog first thing in the morning & then write our comments at night :). That little Vinegrete is so handsome, I love his hat, you'll have to get him different fruit hats each season :). Calvin sounds like a proud older brother already. Just an FYI, we were driving back from Hap Magee yesterday and as we got close to going by your house, Gabby said, "where Batta?" It broke my heart, we miss you guys!
Love,
Sam, Ryan, & Gabby
